How do I make a creamy spinach artichoke dip?!
I made a big batch of spinach artichoke dip last weekend and I have half of it left that I haven't baked yet!. How do I make it creamy like in restaurants!? Whenever I make it I put in tons of cheese but it's still too spinachy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ingredients:
? 2 tablespoons butter
? 1/2 medium-size onion, thinly sliced
? 1/2 pound large mushrooms, stems trimmed, sliced
? One 3-ounce package cream cheese, softened
? 1/2 cup heavy cream
? 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
? Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
? 2 pounds spinach, stemmed, cut crosswise into strips, cooked in the water that clings to the leaves after washing until it wilts, and drained
? 4 large artichokes, trimmed, top one-third cut off, halved lengthwise, chokes removed, cut lengthwise into thin wedges, (and boiled or steamed until very tender)
? 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325°F!.
Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat!. Add the onions and the mushrooms and cook, stirring, until just turning golden brown, about 10 minutes!.
Butter a medium-size gratin dish!. In a medium-size bowl, beat together the cream cheese and heavy cream!. Beat in the oregano, salt, and pepper!.
Stir the spinach into the mushroom mixture!. Spread one-third of the mixture in the bottom of the prepared dish!. Top with half of the artichokes!. Dot with the cream cheese mixture!. Repeat the layers of mushroom mixture, artichoke, and cream cheese mixture!. Finish with the rest of the mushroom mixture!. Dot with the remaining cream cheese mixture!. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes!. Remove the foil, sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and bake until golden brown and bubbling, 15 minutes longer!. Serve very hot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 pkg!. frozen spinach thawed
1 jar marinated artichokes, chopped
8 oz!. Philly cream cheese
8 oz!. sour cream
3/4 c!. shredded Parmesan cheese
8 oz!. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 onion finely chopped
1 stick butter
red pepper flakes to taste
Sauté onions in butter, adding ingredients while mixing and blending well after each addition!. Add ingredients in this order: Spinach, Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, Parmesan Cheese, Artichoke Hearts, Crushed Red Pepper Flakes!.
Remove from heat and put in crocks or microwave dish!. Top with Monterey Jack Cheese and melt!.
Serve hot with chips or bread!.
Yummy! A Party Favorite! May also add Mozzarella Cheese on top and lightly brown!.
