I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I fry cornbread when I make it!.

Yellow cornmeal,1 egg, a little melted butter and buttermilk to make a batter (I don't measure anything!.) Mix up with a fork!. Start some butter melting in a hot cast iron skillet on the stove; when it gets hot, pour batter in!. You can either pour puddles out like pancakes, or use a breadstick pan, or you can start a whole pan frying and then finish it in the oven!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
