Depending on their ages, kids will be intrigued and grossed out by these-

Strained Eyeballs

6 hard boiled eggs
6 oz Whipped cream cheese
7 oz Green olives -- with pimientos
Red food coloring

Peel eggs cut in half lengthwise!. Remove the discard yolks!. Fill the holes with cream cheese!. Press an olive into each cream cheese eyeball, pimiento facing up, for an eerie green iris and startling red pupil! For a final touch, dip the tip of a toothpick in red food coloring and draw broken blood vessels in the cream cheese!.

------------------------------------
Simple Pimples

1-2 dozen cherry tomatoes
Flavored soft cream cheese Spread

Core tomatoes with a carrot peeler or knife!. Drain excess tomato juice!. Using a butter knife, fill holes in tomatoes with cream cheese!. Give each pimple a gentle squeeze and arrange on a platter!.

Boogers on a Stick

8 ounce Jar cheez whiz
3 or 4 drops Green food coloring
3 dozen pretzel sticks

Melt cheez whiz in the microwave according to jar directions!. Allow the cheese to cool slightly in the jar!. Carefully stir in food coloring using just enough to turn the cheese a pale snot green!.

To form boogers: Dip and twist the tip of each prtezel stick into the cheese, lift out, wait twenty seconds, then dip again!. When cheese lumps reach a booger-ish size, set pretzels on wax paper to cool!.

If you have an oven you can always make your own croutons!. Just use some day or two old italian bread so it is a little stale!. If you can find halloween cookie cutters, use them to cut out the bread into shapes!. Then bake the bread in the oven!. (You may have to research what temp and time)!. I think kids would get a kick out of that!. I would definitely include tomatoes if you can!. When I was little I loved chick peas (garbanzo beans) in my salads!. I still do!.!.!. they are great in salads! Pepperoni is good in salad also!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm guessing most kids don't like black olives cause that would be more halloween-ish!.

Dark rye croutons would be nice too!.

If you want to make a creepy garnish, peel radishes so almost all the red skin is off, then slice a green olive with pimento in half, cut our small hole in radish (mini melon baller) and insert olive, it looks like an eyeball!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Raisins

Sunflower seeds

Pickles (buy whole ones and slice them yourself into spears)

Peeled green grapes (they make weird eyeballs!.!.!.lol)
