I'd want something light, sweet and cold after that dish!. Like a simple sorbet!. Like lemon, raspberry, or blackberry!. Scoop it out with a melonballer and stack in a flute, splash of sparkling wine, and a sprig of mint!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like the idea of golden rum cake! What a sweet ending to a delicious stew! I think Bananas Foster would also be a great dessert :) It would be a good contrast in temperature with the cold, creamy vanilla icecream - after a hot bowl of prawn stew!.

Rum cake sounds delicious!. The lighter the better!. Although, I usually eat NY cheesecake with cherries or strawberries after I have seafood!. It fills me up, as I'm usually hungry within a couple of hours after eating any kind of seafood!.

What are you serving as a side with the stew!? Sounds yummy!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hi Warm Breeze,

Why do almost everyone go for cakes as a desert, after a hot fish and prawn stew!? I would lean towards a refreshing lemon or orange sorbet!. So simple to make, no stress!. think about a nice fruity mango sorbet would go great with the fish and prawn

I think you need a desert which is not to heavy!. one that is cold will also settle the taste buds after the hot curry!. Maybe serve 3 different kinds of sorbet!. Another idea would be to do a cheesecake or a mousse of some sort!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If by hot you mean spicey, I would consider a sorbet!. If you're just referring to the temperature, then the rum cake sounds good!. Or grilled fruit over ice cream!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with chefgril!.!.!., after a fish dish you want something lighter and colder, so i'd recommend either a trifle or sorbet as she suggested,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Key Lime Pie ;) I love a citrus theme with seafood, but golden rum cake also sounds yummy, although I've never tried it (not much into sweets, but anything with rum just might tempt me)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Slice BANANAS lengthways and fry gently in butter with a touch of honey for last 1 min!. Turn once or twice while cooking for 2 to 3 mins!. Serve with a good quality VANILLA ice cream!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cool fresh fruit salad, to cleanse the palate!.
Sorry I can't make it, but some things can't wait!Www@FoodAQ@Com
