Is it ok to substitute walnuts for pecans in a bread recipe?!

Question: Is it ok to substitute walnuts for pecans in a bread recipe!?
I'm making a bread recipe, but it calls for pecans!. I have walnuts on hand, so I'd rather use though if I can!. Will that work ok!? It's a recipe for "peasant bread!."Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
walnuts have a stronger taste so use them sparingly!. But the answer is yes, you can substitute!. The taste is very different but it will work!. (Pecans are milder and have a sweet after taste!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eat a walnut and then eat a pecan!. The difference in taste that you experience will be the difference in taste that the bread will have!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes - of course, it will give the bread a pecan flavor instead of walnut, but it's fine to substitute themWww@FoodAQ@Com

It will work out fine!. It will just taste a little more "nutty"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
