Answers:
get some brown gravy or sauce!. spread a little on the meat!. wrap in tin foil and bake in oven on a low heat ~300 until tender!. Or, you could use the gravy and do the same on the stove top!. Simmer on low until tender!.

I've had the same thing happen to me, and we just re-cooked it 'til soft!. It works!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just cut it in small pieces, and add something you like!. I like Worchestershire Sauce!. Round steak is usually cooked by using a coating and frying it, I learned that the hard way!. Tried to broil a round steak way back when!. Another suggestion would be to make a stew from the cut up pieces of meat!. Just add potatoes, carrots, onions!. Slow cook it to give the meat a chance to break down enough to be tender!.

First of all you want to start with a marbled steak!. If this is not possible then you want to cook the steak over a low flame till it is almost cooked!. Then turn up the heat and add a little bit of water to the pan (about 1/2 cup) finish cooking it turning it a few times this should do the trick!.

It's all in the type of meat/steak that you buy!.

you could cube the remaining meat and combine it with red wine, beef broth, carrots, onions, and potatoes in a crock pot on low for about 3-4 hours!. it's a sort of stew with a different cut of meat!. I would also suggest boiling the wine/broth mixture for a few minutes before adding it to the slow cooker, to reduce the excess alcohol!. good eats!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Round steak is a tough cut of meat!. I would suggest marinating it in an acid based marinade (something with vinegar or citrus juice) for 12 - 24 hours to start breaking down the tissue!. The more "done" you cook a piece of meat the tougher it will be!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think if you braise it, that will make the meat more tender and edible!. Try a yummy sauce or even just wine/broth, put a little into the pan with the steak, and heat at a low temperature for as long as possible, until tender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tough meat is a waste of money spend a little more and get some tender cuts!.Dinner should not take more than 30 minutes to make if you have to cook meat for hours then that is a job!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

only way to cook round steak is low and slow!.!.!.!.for like hours!.!.!.you have to buy a good cut if you want to broil or fri it,,like ribeye,ny strip t-boneWww@FoodAQ@Com

round steak is as tough as boots anyway you cook it, I suggest geting petite sirlon or shoulder steak cook on medium broil(grill) or bbqWww@FoodAQ@Com

I always let the meat marinade first (couple hours at least) then sear it hard on both sides for a couple minutes!.Then I grill it to a medium rare!. Mine is always tender and delicious!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Take what you get when you cook round steak!.
Next time go for the ribeye!.
Not much price difference when you cut your own!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
