You can use butter icing:

Icing sugar
Butter
Mix until you get the desired texture, usually more icing than butter goes with this one

Or you can use this instead!.!.!. it's used for making roses and other stuff and when left to air dry can become hard

1 egg white (whisked until fluffy)
1 1/2 small packets of icing sugar
1 teaspoon of lemon/ lime juiceWww@FoodAQ@Com

Without vanilla you can make lemon icing, or you can use this same recipe substituting water for the lemon juice & a teaspoon of any flavoring you have, almond, cherry, rum even mint!.

1 cup of Crisco, plain or butter flavor
2 pounds of powdered sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice, more or less

Mix together the Crisco & sugar with about 1/2 of the juice & some yellow food color!. Add more juice to make it as stiff or as creamy as you wish!. You can pipe with this, or just ice them with this!.

You can't get simpler or easier than this cupcake icing recipe:

100g icing sugar, sieved
1 tablespoon water
edible food colouring

Mix sieved icing sugar with water and beat until smooth!. Divide the icing among individual small bowls and add a drop or two of food colouring to each to create icing in all the colours of the rainbow!. Spread the icing over the top of the cooled cupcakes!.

Cupcake decorating is fun - enjoy!

All you need is a packet of icing sugar, a few teaspoons of water and whatever (if any!) colouring you want!.
Note that icing sugar needs very little water and the colouring itself is a liquid, so be VERY careful how much you add although unlike adding too much salt to food, you can always add more sugar to your icing if you make it too wet to start with without it spoiling!Www@FoodAQ@Com

FRENCH VANILLA ICING

1 c!. milk
3 tbsp!. flour

Make a white sauce of above!. It will be very thick!. Boil for 1 few minutes!. Cool completely!.

1/2 lb!. (2 sticks) butter
1 c!. granulated sugar
2 tsp!. vanilla

Cream butter!. Add sugar and vanilla!. Combine white sauce and beat at high speed on food mixer for about 5 minutes!. Makes enough to fix and frost a 2 or 3 layer cake!.

2 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp!. vanilla, 1 tablespoon butter and enough milk to get the consistency you want for your icing!. Just add a little milk at a time, it won't take much!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
