What are good websites for affordable and easy to make recipes? ?!
I lived at home up until June, and am starting to realize that eating out/microwave/ready made dinners are really getting gross and probably not healthy!. I don't know anything about cooking but I want to learn, also I am on a tight budget, any ideas!? Individual recipes are appreciated as well! Www@FoodAQ@Com

Good for you for wanting to start learning how to cook your own food! As far as expense goes, I think that you will find that just by switching to making your own food instead of buying pre-packaged, frozen dinners, you will save a lot of money!. RecipeZaar and many other cooking sites (AOL's cooking section is another one) have an option to select recipes that use only 5-ingredients or less, so, with a few basic items in your cabinet you can make a variety of meals!. Here is the link to that site:
http://www!.recipezaar!.com/recipes/5-or-l!.!.!.
Other tips: Prepare ahead! If you can make, say, enough rice for more than one meal, you have it pre-cooked and can eat it as a side, as fried-rice, use it in soup, etc!. The same is true for things like pasta!.
Try and use similar ingredients for a few different dishes- this will save you money and cut down on waste, as you rarely need, say, 4 chicken breast for one meal, especially if you are only feeding one person!
Have a good, easy cookbook handy!. One I like that has really helped to build my confidence in cooking is called 'Anyone Can Cook'!. I think it is published by Better Homes and Gardens!. It is super basic, but with some excellent, easy to follow recipes and a lot of extra reference guides!. Here is a link to more info on this book from Amazon!.com, but it is pretty easy to find at bookstores as well:

Meeee tooo!. It is so expensive to eat!. www!.allrecipes!.com is my favourite because you can search by ingredients that you have available!. It depends what kind of food you want to make, I know for the first year I refused to buy any meat (too expensive)!.
This is one of my favorite chicken recipes, served with rice and veggies!. It is so easy to make!.
Spicy honey garlic chicken
? 2!.25 teaspoons brown sugar
? 2!.5 tablespoons honey
? 3 tablespoons soy sauce
? 1!.5 teaspoons chopped garlic
? Cayenne pepper
? salt and pepper to taste
? 2 chicken breasts
? Vegetable oil
Cut chicken breast into pieces and mostly cook in oil
Mix together first 6 ingredients
Simmer chicken breast in sauce and serve over rice!.
However, I usually double that recipe for the sauce because it doesnt go far enough for both chicken and rice!. ITs just a suggestion!. Check out www!.allrecipes!.com for sure though!.

You might love Eating Well magazine, which many libraries have!. Their recipes are all on the website eatingwell!.com!. Most of their food is affordable, and all of it is healthy, gourmet and made with fresh, healthy ingredients! This month there is an article about cooking with dark meat chicken, which is cheaper than chicken breasts and can be just as low fat and even more tasty!Www@FoodAQ@Com
