How do I make a good avocado dip ?!

Question: How do I make a good avocado dip !?
Answers:
Actually, you DO want a Haas Avocado (contrary to the 1st poster)!. The one you don't want is the Florida Avocado!. Haas Avocado's are best when they just turn black or have a little green still on them!. They are smaller and far more flavorful than a Florida Avocado!.

Here is a good recipe

2 ripe avocados
? red onion, minced (about 1/2 cup)
1-2 serrano chiles, stems and seeds removed, minced
2 tablespoons cilantro leaves, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of fresh lime or lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
A dash of freshly grated black pepper
1/2 ripe tomato, seeds and pulp removed, chopped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

couple avocados
juice of 1 lime
packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dip
1/2 cup sour cream

smoosh the avocados with a fork after you peel and pit!.
mix in the rest of ingredients and mix really well!.
use food processor if you have one!.
serve with tortillas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Start with good avocados!. Look for the ones from Mexico!. They tend to have a creamier taste and texture than California Haas avocados!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
