okay, so my home ec!. class is having a cookoff tomorrow!. we each get one apple and we have to make a dessert by baking it (microwave works too) we can do anything we want with any toppings, it just had to be one apple only and it has to be a baked dessert and completely edible (sorry but i do not know the kind of apples we are using)!. does anyone have any good recepies that might follow these guidelines and taste amazing!? thanks so much!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Baked apples are great for dessert, as a side dish, for breakfast, or snacking!. Serve them chilled or warm, with or without toping!. Top with flavored yogurt, light cream, ice cream, or whipped topping!. This recipe is set up for four apples, but you could divide the recipe by four!. these are really good! and fancy!.

Stuffed Baked Apples

2 Tablespoons lemon juice
1 quart water
4 medium cooking apples (Jonathan, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, etc)
? cup currents or raisins
? cup cranberries, fresh or dried, chopped
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
? teaspoon cinnamon
? teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup apple cider or apple juice
4 tablespoons vanilla yogurt, optional
Sprinkle of Cinnamon for garnish

In a large bowl, combine water and lemon juice; set aside!.
Prepare apples!. Working with one apple at a time, slice ? inch from the stem end and remove core; use a paring knife or apple corer!. From the cut edge of each apple, peel away a ? inch strip!. Place each prepared apple in lemon-water; cut side down, to prevent browning, until ready to stuff!.
In a medium bowl, combine currents, cranberries, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg!. Drain apples!. Stuff each apple with spiced fruit mixture!.
Place apples in a greased 8x8-inch baking dish!. Pour apple cider over apples!. Bake 350degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes!.
Serve warm with a little concentrated apple cider or juice in the bottom of the pan!. Top each apple with 1- tablespoon vanilla yogurt or cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired!. For smaller serving, cut each apple in half and garnish!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is delicious! I know the ingredients sound strange, but these are really really good!.

Apple Dumplings
1 apple, peeled, cored and cut into 8 equal pieces
1 (8count) can crescent rolls
1 c!. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 t!.cinnamon
1 c!. lemon lime soda

Preheat oven to 375 degrees!. Prepare 8 x 8" baking dish by spraying with non stick spray!. Microwave your apple pieces on high for 3 minutes!. Drain and let cool, then unwrap the crescent rolls, separate!. Wrap each piece of apple in one crescent dough, starting at large end!. Place in baking dish, seam side down!. Melt butter in microwave, mix in sugar and cinnamon, pour over apples!. Pour lemon lime soda over apples!. Bake in oven for 20 - 25 minutes, or until lightly brown, may not take that long!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Deep fried apple slices with cinnamon and sugar is HEAVENLY!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

But you can only use an oven etc!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Maybe you can deep fry in an oven if you get it hot enough!.!.!.!.!.!.

But deep frying is very dangerous!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.make sure your parents are around!.!.!.!.!.

You can make good apple deserts by BAKING it!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.but Apple MUST go with SUGAR or CINNAMON!.!.!.!.!.

So basically with whatever you do, apple an cinnamon is best!.!.!.!.!.

There are many ways of making a desert with 1 apple!.!.!.!.!.You can dig the core out and BAKE IT and put something in the middle thats good!.!.!.!.!.peaches with sugar or ANYTHING you want!.!.!.!.!.Raspberries and sugar may be good too!.!.!.

There is so much you could do!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

Just improvise!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

Use about 1 tbsp butter, some cinnamon, and some brown sugar!.

de-core the apple and cut it in half (or you can slice it) put the halves/sliced on a baking sheet!. Spread some butter over them and then sprinkle the cinnamon and some brown sugar on top (as much as you like, but not TOO much!. maybe 1/4 cup each for the whole batch if that much) and then bake until the apples are slightly brown!. Top with whipped cream!.

caramel apple is too hard! same with pie!. Especially for a home ec class!. I would do a baked apple which can be made in the microwave also!. Just cut off about the top half inch or so of the apple, then scoop out the seeds with a spoon, and fill it with a mixture of butter, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon!. Cook in the microwave for a few minutes until the flesh is soft!. MM MMMWww@FoodAQ@Com

Any apple you can core out the center of it!. Heat oven to 400!. Make a cinnamon and sugar w/ a little water syrup!. Pour it into the center of the apple and bake it until you can smell the aroma like about minutes!. Pretty tasty!. Or micro it a few minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut apple in small edible chunks!. In a separate bowl mix about 1/2 cup oats, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1-2 tablespoons butter and cinnamon and crumble over the top baking until warm!. I would add a little sugar and butter to apples as wellWww@FoodAQ@Com

core the apple, add instant oatmeal mix like apple crisp, butter,water,

cut one apple into cubes!.
take about a half a cup of flour
1/4 cup of sugar!.
a bit of cinnamon!.
some lemon juice on your apples!.!.!.
and some water mixes that around!.
bake untill crisp and yumo!!!!
