How do I make Chicken and Noodles?!
I have all the stuff for it, but have never made it before!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Simple!. Boil the chicken in water or chicken broth!. Once it's done pull it out of the water and remove the meat from the skin and bones and cut it up!. Add the noodles to the water/broth and cook!. Once the noodles are done add the chicken back in the pot and serve!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Boil the chicken, reserve the liquid to make noodles in!. Dice chicken, while the noodles cook, do not cook noodles completely, add chicken back in!. Finish cooking noodles!. Some people will use chicken bouillon to increase the chicken flavor!. You can also add vegetables to increase flavor and texture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 Tbsp butter
1/2 C chopped onion
1/2 C chopped celery
1 C sliced carrots
4 (14!.5 ounce) cans chicken broth
1 (14!.5 ounce) can vegetable broth
1/2 pound chopped cooked chicken breast (I use leftover rotisserie chicken, or poach three small chicken breasts to add)
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 C egg noodles
In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter!. Cook onion, celery and carrot in butter until just tender, approximately 5 minutes!. Pour in chicken and vegetable broths and stir in chicken, basil, oregano, salt and pepper!. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes before serving!. As far as the noodles, you can add them to the pot when you are adding the second set of ingredients!. Or, you can cook them separately (according to package directions) and add as you wish to make the soup not so starchy!.
