Chickpeas chickpeas chickpeas?!


Question: Chickpeas chickpeas chickpeas!?
I just wanted to know the nutritional benifits of chickpeas!. I know they are a good source of protien but I want to know if they are fatty!.
It depends on the way its cooked, many use it as a soup, others as a dip with added cream, cheese etc!.
The way I eat it is simply boiled until soft with a little sugar!. Its a traditional food, could someone tell me approx!. how much fat that would contain!?

Chickpeas are a good alternate source of proteins to meats!. One cup of cooked chickpeas has same amount of protein as one half breast (3-1/2oz) of chicken
Chickpeas have no cholesterol as opposed to meat and very little fat!.
Chickpeas are a good source of fiber!. The skin of chickpeas has seven flavnoids!. The meats have no fiber!.
I personally use canned chickpeas, still they are not tender to my taste!. I combine chickpeas and brown long grain rice and cook them in water as soup till the rice is tender!. I add fresh ginger, and lots of minced garlic during cooking brown rice!.
After the rice is done I add a can of spinach, a can of string beans!. Bring it to a boil and simmer for five minutes just so all flavors are blended in!. The only spices added is black pepper!. I don't find any necessity to add salt oil or the sugar!. The salt in the canned beans spinach and string beans is plenty for me!. I don't drain any cans If you drain cans, you might have to add salt!.
This is my vegetables soup with enhanced 'complete protein' and 'complete soluble and insoluble' fibers!. It really tastes great!.
I like simple and easy cooking!.
The combinationof brown rice with chickpeas make the proteins complete of most of the essental amino acids!. Of course I did not mentions al the vitamins and the minerals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
