Making stove top popcorn, what is the kernel to oil ratio?!

Question: Making stove top popcorn, what is the kernel to oil ratio!?
Answers:
I usually just coat the bottom of the pan!. That's enough for a large batch of popcorn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A general rule of thumb is 3 Tbsp of oil for 1/4 cup of popcorn!. By the way, add the popcorn salt to the UNPOPPED corn!. When it pops, the salt will be attached to all the good nooks and crannies (sorry English muffins!.!.!.) already!.

I eyeball it!. I put 1 tbsp!., then 1 kernel of popcorn and wait for it to pop!. Then I pour in enough kernels to cover the bottom of the pot!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
