Question: Does anyone have a good Halloween recipe for breakfast!?
We are having an office party and everyone brings a dish!. We have so many desserts and soups, I wanted to bring some type of breakfast dish because all we have so far are spooky waffles!. Does anyone have any good recipes, all I can find seems to be more desserts!. Thank you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think you should make pancakes, but dye them orange with food coloring!. then ummm!.!.!. decorate it with icing like a jack-o-lantern :)

Pumkin Waffles

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
2-1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
4 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 cup well-shaken buttermilk
1 cup canned solid-pack pumpkin
3/4 stick (6 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
additional melted butter for brushing waffle iron
additional butter for serving with waffles
warm maple syrup





Recipe Properties:

Pre-heat oven to 250°F and pre-heat waffle iron!. Sift together flour, brown sugar, baking powder and soda, salt, and spices!. Whisk eggs in a large bowl until blended, then whisk in milk, buttermilk, pumpkin, and butter until smooth!. Whisk in dry ingredients just until smooth!. Brush waffle iron lightly with melted butter and spoon batter into waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions for quantity of batter!. Cook according to manufacturer’s instructions!. Transfer waffles to rack in oven to keep warm and crisp!. Repeat until all batter is used!. Transfer waffles to a large platter and serve with butter and warm maple syrup!. Makes about 12 waffles

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1 (16 ounce) can solid pack pumpkin

DIRECTIONS
In a mixing bowl, dream butter and sugar!. Add eggs; mix well!. Combine dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture just until moistened!. Stir in pumpkin!. Pour into two greased 9-in!. x 5-in!. x 3-in!. loaf pans!. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until bread tests done!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pumpkin Fritters

Ingredients
1 cup cooked pumpkin, mashed and well-drained
2 eggs
1 cup flour
Pinch of salt
? teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 ? teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Oil for frying
Cinnamon sugar (Make your own- use one cup of sugar and 1!.5 tablespoons of ground cinnamon)
Method

Ensure that the pumpkin is well drained!. Beat eggs and add to pumpkin and mix!.
Add the rest of the of the ingredients, except for the oil and cinnamon sugar!. Mix well into a thick batter!.
Heat a heavy pan, using medium to high heat to start with!. Add a little oil!.
Scoop up heaped tablespoons of batter, and drop into pan, but not too close together!.
Fry until bubbles form on the top surface!. They should now be firm and golden on the underside!.
Flip over and fry on other side!.
The fritters will puff up slightly while cooking!. To test, press lightly on the fritters!. When done, they will tend to spring back!.
Remove from pan and drain on kitchen paper!.
Serve warm with plenty of crunchy cinnamon-flavoured sugar!.
They are delightful if you ssqueezea few drops of fresh lemon juice over them - I normally serve them with lemon quarters as garnish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bloodshot eyeballs-cut boiled eggs in half (or make deviled eggs) and place half of a pimento stuffed green olive in the center of the yolk for the eyeball!. Use ketchup, adding squiggly lines from the olive down the egg yolk to make your eyes "bloodshot"!. note: small leftover ketchup packets work well for this!.

Doughnut hole spiders- doughnut holes are the spiders body!. Use string licorice or chow mein noodles for legs and marshmallow feet!. use frosting or decorators gel icing as glue to attach chocolate chips or m&ms, red hots!.!.!.for eyes!. a piece of string licorice coming out the back can be a web!. Actually, pumpkin is so healthy for you, that pumpkin pie, flan, custard are great for breakfast! You can use some wheat flour; and they have lots of eggs & milk:) !.!.!.!.!. Or, just make Pumpkin and Cranberry muffins, or breads - with pumpkin and cranberry butters!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
