Question: I Want To Make Halloween & Christmas Biscuits! I Have The Cutters But Don't Know How To Ice Them! Help Please!!?
Hi everyone! I am a total novice when it comes to icing, I have no clue how I would make my own icing or where to get some from and how I would go about icing my biscuits!. I have all the right cutters I need and a few good recipes so now I just need to get my head around icing them!.

Any tips on how I make icing or where I buy it from and how to actually ice and ice well would be fantastic! Thank you so much in advance! Have a great day! XxWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
LOL when you said biscuits instead of cookies, we knew you were British!.

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 teaspoons milk
2 teaspoons light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
assorted food coloring

DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, stir together confectioners' sugar and milk until smooth!. Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy!. If icing is too thick, add more corn syrup!.
Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity!. Dip cookies, or paint them with a brush!.

You can also paint your cookies before baking them!. Make an edible food paint out of an egg yolk mixed with a few drops of food coloring and paint the cookies with a clean paintbrush!. The paint will dry while baking and give the cookie a colorful, glazed appearance!.

To use food coloring:

To Make Orange: Mix equal parts red and yellow!.

To Make Purple: Mix equal parts red and blue!.

To Make Black: Mix 3 parts red, 3 parts blue, and 2 parts green!.

Remember, you are just using the yolk of the egg and regular food coloring!.

Happy Halloween!

Additional Comment:

You whisk the egg yellow with the food coloring and use a brush to brush it on, no hands except for maybe separating the egg yolk from the white and you could do that for him!.

Don't make ti so complicated!. Have fun doing it or it is not worth doing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would go with the first guys icing that sounds delicious!.

I know how to make really cute and easy spider web designs on a cookie!. You just cover the cookie with white icing, then make black concentric rings all over the top (small ring in the center, larger ring around it and so on!.!.!.)!. You take a toothpick and make a straight line from the middle ring to the edge of the cookie, the icing will drag in the direction of the toothpick!. You just make the same motion all the way around and you have a really cute spider web!. Everyone will be amazed!. I saw Martha Stewart do this once!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have just bought some ready made icing!. They come in tooth paste like tubes, have four different nozzles and are available in various colours!. I bought them from a supermarket in the baking section!. Just over £1 each!. On the back are some directions and the black colour has a spider design for you to follow!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

why would you put icing on biscuits, yuck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
