Answers:
Yes you do!.
I have a set of spoons sized:-
1 Tablespoon (15ml)
1/2 Tablespoon (7!.5ml)
1 Teaspoon (5ml)
1/2 Teaspoon (2!.5ml)
1/8 Teaspoon (0!.6ml) (that is an odd one I got from an incomplete set)

The Cups are:-
1 Cup (240ml)
1/2 Cup (120ml)
1/3 Cup (80ml)
1/4 Cup (60ml)

Jugs
1/2 Gallon (2 litre)
1/4 Gallon (1 litre)

Try getting sets with the sizes embossed or engrave on them as often printing or stickers will wear off!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on what type or how experienced of a cook you are!. If you're a beginner, those things would be helpful!. If you've been cooking a while, or you're more of a "throw it together/taste as you go" kind of cook, they aren't absolutely necessary!.

For baking, on the other hand, at least the spoons & cups are essential!. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by a measuring jug!.

Regardless of any of this, they are handy to have in your kitchen no matter what your skill or experience is!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you do not need all three but will make it easier if you have them

measuring spoons and cups are used for dry ingredients

measuring jugs are used for liquidsWww@FoodAQ@Com

no maybe a jug but just uses spoons table spoon=1oz teaspoon=5ml

or just get some scales that's all you'll need

scales and a jugWww@FoodAQ@Com

Um!.!.!.just for general cooking!?

You can probably get by without the jug!. Cups and spoons will do the trick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

all depends what you are cooking! a jug will do if it is liquids, a spoon would help in measuring dry ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Spoons and cups otta do it!. Dont think you'll need the jug!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

All you need is a jug!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just jug,Www@FoodAQ@Com

only if you bakeWww@FoodAQ@Com
