Question: Tesco: normal Stagg chili = £1!.50!. Silverado Beef Stagg chili = £2!.50!. How can they justify this madness!?

Because the beef used in the more expensive one is leaner and therefore lower fat!.

Haven't you noticed that anything remotely healthy increases the value tenfold!

Thats why Heinz reduced salt and sugar baked beans, are MORE expensive than the normal ones - cos people will pay extra for them not putting as much in the tin!

Could be that there is more/better meat in the Silverado Stagg; cheaper versions often have cheaper ingredients, as in different cuts of steak!. The animal used may have had a better deal in life and not be intensively reared, etc!.!.
You rarely get a Rolls Royce for Ford money!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Is one reduced and the other not!? They might have more of one then the other and want to move it!.!.!. What is it's normal price!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its in the word 'Silverado'!. Anything with a title or a brand name will be ridiculously expensive!. And most likely they will taste the same!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
