Question: PLEASE HELP: I need to make a 3 course meal with any of the following ingredients!.!.!.!?
The dinner is going to be for my cousin, aunt and uncle!.
I have the following ingredients:
*Chicken thigh fillets
*Potatoes
*Rice
*Green apples
*Sultanas
*Milk
*Honey
*Butter
*Vanilla ice cream
*Celery
*Short crust pastry
*Lemon
*Olive oil
*Plain flour
*Self raising flour
*Bacon rashers
I can use any quantity!. The ingredients can be used for more than one course!.
I also have $20 to buy ANY 4 more ingredients that aren't listed, and a variety of dried herbs and spices including salt, pepper, curry powder, chilli powder, termeric, mixed herbs, cinnamon and nutmeg!.
I need recipes that aren't too difficult, or too easy either (like muffins)!.
They shouldn't take too long to make!.
Please suggest some recipes I could try!.

You could make chicken (any way you would like- consult a cookbook for chicken recipes that you like), Rice PIlaf , Just rice cooked according to directions, with vegetables added in for color,use frozen mixed vegies, and ice cream for desert, take the ice cream and soften it , and then add a little bit of cinnamon to it to create cinnamon ice cream!. Tossed salad with bacon crumbles and blue cheese crumbles
Chicken thighs with Sultana sauce

Make an apple pie with you short crust pastry, green apples, sugar, or use honey if no sugar available!. Plus the cinnamon, nutmeg and a tiny bit of allspice if you have it!. Check out Joy of Cooking for a reciepe!.

Dredge your cleaned chichen thighs in flour, wrap in bacon slice and saute in a frying pan until juices run clear!. Use olive oil and butter for the frying!. When cooked, remove from heat and cover to keep warm!.

In the same pan saute sliced celery until tender, Measure the amount of drippings remaining and add flour to make a roue!. Gradually add milk to make a cream sauce (2 Tablespoons flour to 2 Tablespoons oil, butter etc to 1 -1 1/2 Cups milk) Stir until thickened!. Add salt and pepper to taste, some parsley, and Sultanas split in half!. Pour over chicken when ready to serve!.

Make mashed potatoes, adding cheddar cheese with the butter and milk

Serve the salad with blue cheese and bacon!. Make a dressing from the olive oil, lemon (or vinegar) and spices such as salt, pepper, dill, mixed herbs!.

Serve the pie warm with a scoop of ice cream and a thick slice of aged sharp New York cheddar cheese

Okay are the chicken thighs skinless or with skin!?

Start with potato skins, baked or freid!.

Then I would reccomend making a lemon garlic chicken!. Melt a mix of 50/50 olive oil and butter!. Add a couple cloves or so of chopped garlic and the juice of 3-4 lemons (with 1 peel cut into pieces)!. Melt and then leave on a warm surface for about 20 minutes or so!. Discard the peel!.

If you have skin on thighs then spoon some of the lemon garlic butter under the skin of each thigh!. Then drizzle remaining butter mix over all the chicken!. Bake at 350 for around 1 hour!.

Make roasted potatoes, get a few red potatoes and maybe even a few sweet potatoes!. Chop and mix your regular baking potatoes scrubbed with peel on, the red potatoes washed and quartered, and the sweet potatoes peeled and cut!. Toss in a little olive oil, and italian seasoning, salt and pepper!. Spread out on a baking sheet at 350 for a little over an hour!.

Make glazed carrots for veggie!. I usually use brown sugar and butter but you could even use honey!.

Ice cream with chocolate or caramel sauce!. (You could make your own but I don;t have a recipe on hand even though it is pretty simple!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com
