Not really!. Cookies and other baked goods require the dough to get warm for long periods of time (several minutes, in this case)!. Which isn't something a microwave handles well!. to tell the truth microwaves don't actually "cook" things the way we normally think of cooking!. They just get things hot!. You can't control where that heat is applied or how hot it really gets, you just tell it to apply heat to whatever is inside for whatever amount of time, and hope it turns out well!. If you don't want to use an oven, but still want a nice treat, do a search for "no-bake cookies" They're very delicious and usually only require a little bit of melting that can be done in a microwave or on the stove!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I remember in 6th grade some ladies from Amana company came to school to demonstrate the "new" oven called a microwave oven! They cooked little tiny vanilla cupcakes and handed them out to the class!. They were cooked but looked weird!.
The cupcakes were the same color as the batter, no browning anywhere, and they were spongy and full of big bubble holes!. I wasn't impressed!. And yes I am that old, lol!

Anyway, microwaves heat the food molecules from the inside out, but has no way to brown or crisp food!. You need a modified recipe like some others posted here!. So yes and no!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sprinkle with chocolate chips and microwave on high for 4-5 minutes (depending on how gooey you like em)!.
