Grate cheese on large mushrooms and grill!. Can't be simpler!.
If you want a little more fancy, put a little tomato puree and cream cheese on the underside of a mushroom and then top with the grated cheese!. Yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would have said dips and bread but dips have garlic in them and most people avoid that!. You said hardly any ingredients but I don't know what u have!. Like in my fridge there's always some cheese olives lettuce onion tomatos eggs and tuna and cans of sweet corn and when I have to make something quick I just boil and dice the eggs and make a salad combination with some crackers or lebanese bread slices toasted!. You can make a pasta salad, bean salad, tuna salad, potato salad!. As long as what u have is fresh and cut finely and u drizzle olive oil, lemon and adequate salt it will taste nice!.
How about Bruschetta as a starter!?
You just have to toast crusty bread with some margarine
then chop finely tomato, spanish onion some pickled/grilled red capsicum add oregano lots of lemon and some salt and let it kinda sit a bit and then just scoop onto fresh toast easy, quick and delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

How much time do you have!? I like to get whole artichokes and make a really simple side dip!. Takes awhile to boil, but you work on other parts of the dinner while this is going on!
- 1 artichoke per 2 people should be fine (or 1 for each person)
- Snip off points on end of leaf
- Boil artichoke about 45 min, could be longer!. My test is to lightly tug at a leaf and it should come off!. Large pot with lid, enough water to submerge artichoke!. Artichoke will float on top, so periodically role it around!.
- Dip: mix a little mustard and mayonnaise together!. Eyeball the amount and taste to your liking!. Get small bowls, 1 per artichoke!. If too bland, you can mix in different spices to your liking, or even just some pepper!.
- Don't forget to set out a bowl for the discarded leaves!.
There you have it!.!.!. simple and few ingredients, some you probably have in your fridge already!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like to buy Pillsbury pizza crust and top with plum tomatoes, blue cheese (or feta), olive oil, salt, and pepper!.
Here is the method:
Unroll the crust!. Use a small biscuit cutter to cut out rounds or just use your knife to make squares/rectangles/whatever!. Sprinkle each piece of dough with cheese of choice, halved plum tomatoes, and salt and pepper!. Drizzle all with olive oil and bake till golden!.
These make a great starter/snack before any meal!. Easy, good, but a bit elegant and different!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
