Any recipe suggestions?!

Question: Any recipe suggestions!?
I have a problem!. I've had oral allergy syndrome for about 4 years, meaning I can't eat very many uncooked fruits, and some vegetables without my mouth burning!. (apples, oranges, pineapple, etc, are the worst)!. But I really love fruit, and would like to eat healthily!. Does anyone have any suggestions about ways to cook fruit/vegetables that's tasty and healthy!? Snack-type things are ideal, but I'll go for anything!.
Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Poached/Steamed Pears in Fig sauce

You'll need:
-Pears (Bartlet work nice, this also works with apples)
-White Grape Juice or White Wine (sweet)
-Sugar (depends how sweet you like)
-Figs (best quality you can find!. If you don't like Figs, leave them out or go with raisins, plums, any dried fruit you like)!.

To start, slice pears in half or quarter them and scoop out the core and seeds and all that part!.

In a large wide saute pan (like this: http://images!.buzzillions!.com/images_pro!.!.!. Put the pears in and fill it up with the juice or wine until the pear pieces are about half submerged and bring to a boil!.

Once it's boiling, reduce heat and cover the pan, and the steam and boiling water will have them cooked nice and soft after about 10-15 min!.

When the pears are done, take them out and dump in chopped figs (they're easier to cut up in they've been chilled) and sugar and cook until it's thickened!. Pour it on the pears and you're done!.

EXTRA- you can turn this into a big show if you go the flambe route!. Check out photos and instructions here:

Skewer 1 peach quarter with cinnamon stick, add a mint leaf, add another peach quarter!. Use a skewer if needed to ease cinnamon stick on!.

Put on grill (outside grill, or george foreman)!. Put peaches on grill & baste with glaze!.
