use:
1 box cake mix
1 cup sour cream
1 5!.9 oz pkg instant pudding (vanilla or choc depending on the cake mix)
1/2 cup oil
1/3 cup milk
4 eggs
1/2 cup warm water

No, sour cream should not be added to a cake mix!. It would probably change how the cake would raise!. If you want more moisture you can use prune butter ( in baking aisle) in place of most of the oil!. Check the label for the exact substitution!. also, use a good cooking oil such as Crisco and a premium cake mix such as Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker!. Do not over beat the mix and do not over bake!. There are sour cream cake recipes that will make a some what more dense but very moist cake as well but you would do them from "scratch"!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
