DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EASY CHRISTMAS DESSERTS?!
Answers:
Several suggestions
cherry cheese cake super easy to do, make a day ahead, looks like you worked hard!.
Purchase 1 box jello cheesecake mix, you will find it in the baking aisle or near the jello boxes!. also get 1 can of cherry pie filling Lucky leaf or Comstock are two suggested brands!. Next go to the dairy aisle and get 8 oz cream cheese (brick not whipped and not low fat)
Make sure you have some butter at home or purchase it with the other ingredients!.
Once you are home prepare the crust as per directions on the back of the cheesecake mix box!. Bring the cream cheese to room temperature and beat it with the mixer until light and creamy, gradually add the milk as directed on the package and when combined add the cheesecake mix powder!. Beat as directed on the package and pour into prepared pie shell!. Open the can of pie filling and spoon on top of the cheesecake!. Refrigerate at least 2 hours!. If storing overnight please cover with either foil, plastic wrap or place in seal-able container to prevent refrigerator odors from the cake!. You can add whipped topping when serving if desired but I find that it is rich enough as it is!.
Death by Chocolate Trifle
1 8 inch plain, unfrosted chocolate cake (2 layers)
1 pk instant chocolate pudding
1 container of whipped topping thawed
grated dark chocolate
crumbled toffee candies
Kahlua liqueur
Prepare pudding as directed on package or you may use a cooked pudding but you must let it cool to room temperature and stir frequently to prevent a skin from forming ( I like the cooked one better so I take the extra time for this step)
Cut each of the cake layers in half horizontally so that you have 4 rounds!. Place the first layer in an 8 inch trifle bowl and sprinkle with the Kahlua use about 1 1/2 Tablespoons!. Top with 1/4 of the pudding
and 1/4 of the whipped topping!. Sprinkle with toffee pieces and grated chocolate!. Repeat the layers ending with the whipped topping!. Cover and refrigerate several hours!. Just prior to serving sprinkle with additional grated chocolate and decorate with piped whipped topping if desired!. Looks grand, tastes heavenly, and is sure to impress the guests!.
Ice box Yule log
1 package chocolate cookie wafers
1 pint whipping cream
marichino cherries for decoration
Whip the cream until stiff peaks form, add sugar and vanilla to taste!.
Stack the cookies with cream in between 5 cookies high!. Place cookies on long serving platter end to end and cover with additional whipped cream!. Refrigerate several hours!. When ready to serve you can decorate with cherrie!. Cut on a diagonal to serve and the resulatant slices will have lines of cookies thru it!. See back of the chocolate wafer box!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Albuquerque, New Mexico
My wife embodies very successfully the modern working woman!. She is a hardworking human resources manager at a large defense contractor in Albuquerque and, at the same time, is a wonderful wife, mother, and community volunteer!.
My wife has always enjoyed cooking and was busy in the kitchen helping her family since she was in her early teens!. She is an avid collector of cookbooks and subscribes to five cooking magazines!. In fact, my wife is such a good cook that we don't eat out very much any more, because we can always have a better meal at home!.
Our three-and-half-year-old daughter has inherited her mother's love the kitchen, and together they laugh and cook and make messes in the kitchen!. Our daughter's name means "star" in Spanish!. One of their favorite activities is to bake a star-shaped cake, using Betty Crocker cake mix, of course, and then frost it and decorate it!. My wife's favorite Betty Crocker products are the cake mixes and frostings, and one of our family's real favorites is Au Gratin Potatoes!.
My wife has developed a special Christmas tradition!. Throughout the year, she collects our favorite new recipes, including those that she creates herself, and makes an annual cookbook that we share with our most special friends!.
My wife makes time for a variety of community activities!. She has served on the boards of the local children's museum, the Stanford Alumni Club, and Leadership Albuquerque (a local leadership development program)!. We have also been involved with a variety of ministries in our church parish!. She has worked as a mentor to high school students as well as to black student interns!.
In this day and age a woman has to fulfill many different roles, and it is difficult to juggle all of them successfully!. My wife is one of those rare individuals who I believe does successfully manage and excel at all her roles!.
