Question: Need to know how to make rice in oven!?
Answers:
Begin boiling chicken stock or veggie stock in a separate pot, then saute onions, finely chopped of course in another oven safe pot with a lid, on top of the stove in a little olive oil, when soft, add your desired amount of rice, just make sure your liquid to rice ratio is 2:1, so if you make a cup of rice, add two cups of liquid etc!.!.!. After you sautee your rice for a minute or so, add your boiling stock, stir, add salt until your liquid is tasty, cover tightly with lid, place in a preheated oven (350 F) and cook for about 45 min!. Check to make sure liquid is gone and rice is soft, if it is not soft add more liquid, continue cooking, if the liquid is still there and the rice is soft, just drain it or continue to cook until the rice is done!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

2 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons butter
1 shallot -- finely minced
1 cup long-grain rice
salt and pepper -- to taste

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F!.

Bring chicken broth to a boil!.

Melt the butter in a heavy casserole over medium-high heat!. Add the shallot and cook until translucent, 3 to 4 minutes!.

Reduce heat to medium, add rice, and cook until opaque, about 5 minutes!. Pour in the boiling broth, cover, and put in the middle of a hot oven!. Bake for 18 minutes!. The liquid should be absorbed and the rice fluffy!. Correct seasoning and serve hot!. Serves 2!.

generally rice can be cooked in the oven without precooking if it is in there at least and hour at 375 with double the liquid than rice and you can put veggies or chicken in with it to flavor the rice or whatever you want!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Easy!. Its called "pilaf"!. Take one part rice to two parts water!. Boil the water on the stove and pour it over the rice!. Cover the pan with a lid or foil!. Bake at 350 F for about 45 min!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You would need to pre cook the rice, as it needs to be boiled!.
You cold then add it to a vegetable casserole!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
