Which measurements do you use in cooking?!

Question: Which measurements do you use in cooking!?
Do you prefer imperial measures or the metric system!. The UK went metric a fews ago!. All the kids were taught metric in school!. Now they are reverting in places back to the imperial measures!. Can you work within both systems or is it confusing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I work with both without too much hassle - one pound is roughly 450g, so one kilo is pretty much 2 1/4 pounds, give or take an ounce!.

Metric's better for baking, because it's more of an exact science (SCIENCE, I TELL YOU! AHAHAHAHA etc) But meat tends to work better for me with Imperial portion sizes and cooking times!. Guess it's really just what you're used to!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it's confusing, I don't get the metric system !!!
