Quick and easy popcorn balls:

Ingredients:

* 1/4 cup corn oil
* 1/2 cup popcorn
* 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation:
Heat corn oil in a 4-quart kettle over medium heat for about 3 minutes!. Add popcorn!. Cover, leaving cover just slightly ajar!. Shake frequently over medium heat until popping stops!. Meanwhile, mix together corn syrup, sugar and salt!. Add to popped corn in kettle, stirring and tossing constantly over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes, or until sugar is dissolve and popcorn is evenly coated with mixture!. Remove from heat!. Gently form into balls, using buttered hands!.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup margarine
2 teaspoons cold water
2 5/8 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup marshmallows
5 quarts plain popped popcorn

Directions:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the corn syrup, margarine, cold water, confectioners' sugar and marshmallows!. Heat and stir until the mixture comes to a boil!. Carefully combine the hot mixture with the popcorn, coating each kernel!.
Grease hands with vegetable shortening and quickly shape the coated popcorn into balls before it cools!. Wrap with cellophane or plastic wrap and store at room temperature!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Easy Popcorn Balls Recipe
Popcorn balls are a traditional Halloween treat!. This recipe is very basic and makes some great tasting popcorn balls for your Halloween trick-or-treaters!. It's easy to make colored popcorn balls by adding some food coloring or orange flavored gelatin!.



Recipe Ingredients
8 c!. popped popcorn

2/3 c!. light corn syrup

2/3 c!. granulated sugar

1/2 tsp!. salt



Combine the corn syrup, sugar and salt in a large pan and heat on medium heat while stirring until dissolved!. Add the popcorn to the pan and toss!. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until mixture becomes very sticky!. Remove from heat!.



Shape popcorn into balls with clean hands and cool!. Wrap the balls in plastic wrap and seal tightly with a twister!.

POPCORN BALLS

5 quarts popcorn, popped
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Keep popped corn hot and crisp in oven (300 - 325 F)!. Butter sides of saucepan!. In it combine sugar, water, salt, corn syrup, and vinegar!.

Cook to hard-stage (250 F)!. Add vanilla!. Pour slowly over hot popped corn, mixing well to coat every kernel!.

Press into balls (butter hands if necessary)!. Try not to burn your hands!.

Serving Size: 8

POPCORN BALLS

1 c!. sugar
1/3 c!. white corn syrup
1/3 c!. water
1/4 c!. butter
3/4 tsp!. salt
3/4 tsp!. vanilla
3 qts!. popped corn

Pop corn and keep warm in roasting pan in slow oven, 300 degrees!. Stir and cook sugar, syrup, water, butter and salt until sugar is dissolved!. Cook without stirring until brittle ball forms in cold water!. Add vanilla and food coloring!. (So you can see where syrup has coated popcorn!.) Immediately pour syrup over corn and mix well!. Have about 4 pairs of greased pans (with butter) ready to form popcorn balls!. This must be done before syrup cools and crystallizes, 5 minutes or less!.

There is lots of ways to make popcorn ball but ill show You The EASY WAY!

1!. Microwave a pkg of popcorn, Pour into a bowl

2!. Use a small pan to melt 1/4 cup sugar on high heat!. Stirring with a knife as it melts!.It will melt fast!.

3!. Smash the lumps with your knife, tip pan away from heat so it all drains into the corner!.When it is light brown in color and melted, carefully pour over you popcorn!. Then stir with the knife!.

4!. The syrup is hot The pan will be very hot! Put it in the sink and let water run over it slowly to cool it!.

Done! simple huh

Experiment: I added a tsp of butter to the sugar while it was melting, it took longer for the sugar to melt, and did not pour as smoothly as if it was just melted sugar!. But after I tasted the cooled popcorn it reminded me of Fiddle Faddle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use a peanut brittle recipe, you can use peanuts or not, it makes a crispy popcorn brittle!. I hate sticky popcorn balls!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
