I make perfect grilled cheese sandwiches every single time!.

What I do is get a heavy griddle (square flat pan, no edges) as opposed to a skillet or frying pan, which have thinner bottoms!. Heat it over a medium heat!.!.!.nothing higher than a medium heat! Butter only the outsides of the bread, use SHREDDED cheese of choice (never slices or chunks), and place the assembled bits on the pan as it's heating!. Be sure to move the sandwich around a bit, but don't flip for at least 5 minutes!.!.!.or until the cheese on the bottom of the sandwich begins to melt!. Flip over, cook till the cheese melts the rest of the way, then toast on each side to desired done-ness!. Cheese sandwiches need a LOT of babysitting, so no throwing them on the heat and watching the football game & forgetting about them!

Follow my instructions and I guarantee you'll have the perfect grilled cheese too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the key to a perfect grill cheese

butter one side of each slice of bread
get you cheese ready
place the un buttered side of the bread face down on the frying pan that is on low heat
let the bread Heat up for 45 seconds
flip over the bread so the butter side is down!.
place cheese on bread and place other slice of bread on top of cheese cook until golden!.

Make sure you thinly coat all parts of the (outside) of the bread with your butter, and try using a George Foreman Grill!. Otherwise, if cooked in a pan I find it best to occasionally press/squish the sandwich while it's cooking (medium to medium-low heat) - that will help the cheese get closer to the heat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

less heat!. I turn the pan on medium heat and keep it there!. Your stove may run hotter, so work with it and see what works the best!. If your butter turns dark brown, add some olive oil which has a higher burn point and will keep the butter from burning so quickly!. That might help give the cheese more time to melt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could cook it to the brownness that you want the put in the oven for a couple extra minutes to melt the cheese all the way!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

if the bread is done before the cheese then just take it off the pan and pop in the microwave for 10 seconds!. otherwise just use less heat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Keep the burner low and cover the pan!. This will keep the heat in and cause the cheese to melt faster!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Turn your burner down!. also try using mayo instead of butter!. It is very tasty and makes it golden brown!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lower heat and cover the pan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

start high heat - lots of butter
flip soon as it gets golden
lower heat and let it finish cooking on that sideWww@FoodAQ@Com

Less heat, and hey I know you walk away! Stick around and wait for it to cook!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Less heat!.!.!. and try covering the pan with a lid!.
