Answers:
you can make your own baking powder if you have baking soda and cream of tartar!. Simply mix two parts cream of tartar with one part baking soda!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can try it with a small amount!.!.!.of the batter!.!.and see what happens, it wont change the taste just the consistency!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. You'll have to introduce an acid for the baking soda to work with if you really want to use it!. If you decide to do that, throw maybe a few drops of lemon juice into the batter after you put in the baking soda!. That should work!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can substitute baking powder in place of baking soda (you'll need more baking powder and it may affect the taste), but you can't use baking soda when a recipe calls for baking powder!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

IF IT DOES NOT STATE THAT IN A RECIPE DO NOT USE IT!. I MAD BROWNIES AND THEY TURN OUT HORRIBLE WHEN THEY WERE DONE bAKING SODA IS NOT GOOD TO USE!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
