It is what it is, pulled!. It looks like it is shredded, but it is literally pulled!. It can be pulled because it is cooked slowly and for a long period of time, usually with jamaican seasoning!. It is so tender that the meat pulls away from the bone!. I suggest you visit a local jamaican bakery/restaurant and try some!. It is very good, but anything good usually means it is not the best food choice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
We get a 3-4 pound pork roast, boneless!. We dry rub it with brown sugar, onion powder, paprika, & cayenne pepper!. It is then grilled for about 45 min (we put the roast on one side of grill & turn burner off under that side but keep burner on for empty side of grill)!. The grilled roast then goes into a 5 qt stock pot along with barbecue sauce to cover about 2/3 & the remaining 1/3 use water!. It is allowed to boil then simmer (2-3 hours) till it starts falling apart!. When it reaches the falling apart stage, we pull the rest of the meat apart so there is a pile of what looks like shredded, barbecue pork!. and oh is it good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Pulled pork can be made out of any cut of prok roast!. It is lsow cooked, boiled-simmered, baked, roasted, b-b-q'd etc, unti it is fall apart tender!.

Once it is falling completely to pieces, the meat is pulled off the bone and the fat pockets are removed from the meat!. Depending on where you are, some add seasonings other than salt and pepper at this point - but traditionally you just serve the meat with a bbq sauce on the side - again, depends on where you are as to what kind of sauce is served!. It may be mustard based or vinegar based!.

Pulled Pork is a southern dish!. It is Pork Butt which is seasoned and roasted at a lower than normal temperature for a long time depending on size!. When it cools down you remove the fat, which literally slides off and pull the meat into strands!. You then add you sauce (BBQ) or serve it on the side!. Truly delicious!Www@FoodAQ@Com
