*****Honey Molasses Pork Tenderloin with Spiced Sweet Potatoes
1? lb pork tenderloin
? tsp salt
? tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried rosemary
2 tsp olive oil, divided
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp molasses
4 small sweet potatoes
1 tbsp Island Barbeque seasoning
1 container Brussels sprouts
1 lb cremini mushrooms
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and coat roasting pan with cooking spray!. Season pork tenderloin with salt, black pepper and dried rosemary!. Whisk together olive oil, honey, balsamic vinegar and molasses!. Pour onto pork tenderloin and marinate for about 15-20 minutes!. Chop sweet potatoes into 2 inch cubes and place in roasting pan!. Toss with Island Barbeque seasonings and olive oil and roast for 15 minutes!. While the potatoes are roasting half the Brussels sprouts and mushrooms!. Place in roasting pan with sweet potatoes and place pork tenderloin on roasting rack above vegetables!. Roast for 20-25 minutes more flipping the pork tenderloin and stirring the vegetables halfway through!. Cook until potatoes are tender and pork’s internal temperature registers at 155 degrees!. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes before slicing (the internal temperature will reach 160 degrees)!. Slice and serve on a bed of the vegetables!. Makes 4 servings!. 8 points per serving!.

i make a dish called red hot chicken that uses molasses!.

2lbs chicken cutlets sliced thin into strips
marinate in the following:
1/3 cup hot sauce,
1/3 cup guldens brown mustard
1/3 cup bbq sauce
1/3 cup molasses
1/3 brown sugar

after marinating at least an hour, but better to do it overnight, bake in the oven in the marinade on 350f til chicken is tender and done!. bake covered!. you can do the same with chicken pieces, but, take the skin off to get the whole flavor into the chicken!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Gingerbread Cake

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup boiling water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!. Grease and flour a 9 inch round pan!. Sift together flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt!. Set aside!.
In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy!. Beat in the egg and molasses!. Add flour mixture and water!. Beat until smooth!.
Pour batter into pan!. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean!. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes!. Remove from pan and serve warm!.

Gingerbread
1 cup sugar
? cup sorghum or molasses
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
? cup shortening
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups all purpose white flour
? teaspoon ginger
? teaspoon allspice
? teaspoon cinnamon
Mix all ingredients well!. Pour into prepared 9" square pan, greased and floured!. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees!.

Swedish Spice Cookies
2 ? cups All-purpose flour, sifted before measuring
2 teaspoons Baking soda
1 teaspoon Ground cloves
1 teaspoon Ground ginger
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon Ground salt
? cup Unsalted butter, softened
1 ? cups Sugar
1 Egg
? cup Molasses
1!. Heat oven to 375℉!. Have ungreased baking sheet(s) ready!. Sift together the flour, baking soda, spices and salt; set aside!.

2!. Beat the butter and 1 cup of the granulated sugar in large bowl of an electric mixer on high speed until light, 1 minute!. Add the egg and molasses; mix well!. Stop the mixer and add the flour mixture!. Mix just until combined!.

3!. Using about 1 ? teaspoons dough for each, roll dough into balls!. Roll in the remaining ? cup granulated sugar so they are fully coated!. Arrange on baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart!. If you prefer a thin, crisp cookie, they may be flattened with a glass that has been dipped in sugar!.

4!. Bake until set, 9 to 10 minutes!. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool!.

Great-Grandma's Gingerbread Cookies
? cup Vegetable shortening
1 cup Sugar
3 Eggs
? cup Cold water
2 teaspoons Baking soda
1 cup Sorghum or molasses
6 cups All-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon
? tablespoon Ground cloves
1 tablespoon Ginger
? tablespoon Salt
1!. Cream shortening and sugar in mixing bowl, beat in eggs, one at a time!. Mix water and baking soda in small bowl until dissolved!. Add baking soda mixture and sorghum to butter mixture!. Sift 5 ? cups of the flour, the spices and salt together!. Blend into dough!. Divide dough into 4 balls!. Wrap in plastic wrap!. Flatten and refrigerate overnight!.

2!. Heat oven to 350℉!. Roll 1 portion of dough out at a time on lightly floured surface!. Cut into desired shapes!. Bake on a greased cookie sheet until puffed, 10 to 12 minutes!. Do not over-bake!.

3!. When cool, decorate with buttercream frosting and/or candies as desired!. Sorghum gives these cookies a special flavor, but molasses can be used as a substitute!.

Our family is notorious for "doctoring" barbeque sauce -- add about 1/4 c!. molasses to any brand of sauce, plus about 2 T!. Worcestershire sauce !.!.!.!. GOOD!.

Hearty Baked Beans
2 cans pork and beans, do not drain
1 can Ranch Style Beans, do not drain
1 can kidney beans, do not drain
1 can crushed pineapple (8 ounces), do not drain
? pound smoked sausage, cut into bite size pieces
? package bacon, fried crisp, reserve drippings
? cup brown sugar
? cup maple syrup or molasses
2 teaspoons mustard
1 onion, chopped
? cup ketchup
Mix everything together well!. Place in large baking dish and cover and seal well!. Bake in slow oven, between 300 to 325 degrees, for about 4 - 5 hours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
