Can you bake directly on a cookie/baking sheet with no foil?!

Question: Can you bake directly on a cookie/baking sheet with no foil!?
I just ordered received this in the mail (In two days, mind you):

http://www!.amazon!.com/Wilton-Recipe-Righ!.!.!.

It's labeled a Wilton non-stick cookie pan that won't rust, and I washed it with warm soapy water but I think I'll damage it if I bake a chicken on it!. It's non-stick so what would you suggest for the long life of my pan!?

Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have learned the hard way that if you use a cookie sheet for anything besides cake or cookies, it is wise to line it with foil!. Baked on grease is hard to get off, even when it says "non-stick", and you sure don't want to ruin your brand new non-stick cookie sheet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you're more than okay to cook directly on your pan if it is a non-stick!. The cookies will still come out perfect, my mom uses non-stick all the time without foil and her pan still hasn't rusted or anything!. I personally like using the foil more just because it's an easier clean-up!. I am sure that if it says no-rust it shouldn't rust, or at least not for a while, so don't be afraid to go without the foil!. I know there is some sort of oil people rub on pans to keep them from rusting too, but I have no idea what it is :( Sorry, but yeah go ahead and use it whichever way you'd like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can bake it on the pan, thats why it is non-stick!. If you want an easier cleanup then you will need to put veg oil or pam, or foil on the bottom!. I think Wilton has a warranty on their cookware/bakeware!. Dont scrape the bottom or the non-stick will come off and it WILL NOT be non-stick anymore!.

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would use foil!. Be sure that your pan is deep enough for a chicken though, a lot of drippings come from the bird and you might end up with a mess in your oven!. If I were you I'd just buy a foil roasting pan if I didn't have one deep enough!. Better safe than sorry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, you can bake on the pan without foil!. I did this for many years before it dawned on me that lining the baking pan with foil made easy clean up!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always use foil!. It makes the pan that much easier to clean afterwards!. And that will prolong the life of the pan, too!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are better off to use foil because Chicken really does make a mess in the oven with all the splashing about of the oils!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
