I want to make BBQ Pulled Chicken. Can I cook it all day like pork?!

Question: I want to make BBQ Pulled Chicken!. Can I cook it all day like pork!?
I work full time and then go to the gym after work, so my days are long!. I'd love to have dinner ready when I come home!
I don't want to eat high fat pork butt, so I want to sub several chicken breasts!.

If I put about 5 chicken breasts in a crock pot with ginger ale, bbq sauce and some garlic, can I leave it in my slow cooker for 10 hours (on LOW)!?

Or will it be terrible!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I do it all of the time!. I have recently started doing the chicken in just broth and seasoning and adding the bbq sc at the end of the day!. I like the flavor of the sc to be unchanged!.
One other thing, put the chicken in the pot frozen on low!. It wont dry out being in there so long this way : )Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think that is to long to cook chicken breast!. Try cooking the chicken the night before!. It would probably only cook what 7 or 8 hours!. In the morning just place in the refrigerator and then you can warm it when you get home from work!. I tend to make items like that on the weekends and then freeze individual containers to grab during the week!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think if you put enough water in, it will be ok!. I tried to look up a recipe on my fav site www!.allrecipes!.com but I couldn't find one!. You may just want to make it a point to go home at lunch if you can and stir it to make sure its not getting over done!. If it seems to be cooking too fast at that time I would turn the crock pot on "Warm" so maybe it won't dry out!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
