Question: I made some chicken with cream of mushroom to go over rice last Tuesday, is it still good after 9 days!?
It doesn't smell bad!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes!. Maybe I just can't help being different!. I can speak from experience that things reheated in the microwave to the steaming hot stage, won't kill you even if it's almost 2 weeks old!. Maybe I've just got a strong stomach, but this was the way I was raised - to NOT throw food out, unless is looks bad or smells bad!. I read (can't quote my source), that the extreme heat of a microwave kills harmful bacteria!.

People are very wasteful these days and I think that if you don't expose yourself to germs to some extent, you risk making yourself sick when you DO eat something that should have been thrown out (like something contaminated at a restaurant)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eat at your own risk, but chicken can go bad quick!. Although it may not smell bad, all kind of bacteria are there, just waiting to be warmed in the oven or microwave and make their way into your warm body!. There, they will continue to multiply and you will have a good case of food poisoning!.

A good rule of thumb with cooked chicken stored in the refrigerator is no longer than 3 days, 4 tops!

I suggest you throw it out, to be on the safe side!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

does it have hair yet!? is it melting into a liquid!? would you feed it to the dog (might be animal abuse)!? even though it might smell ok (do you know what it is supposed to smell like)!? you don't know how many or what kind of little critters have taken up residency in your chicken during it's ,!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.kjjjjm long incarceration in your fridge!.
throw it out (or bury it in the back yard) and doon't tell anyone you asked this question!. let them get their laughs from some one else!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

EnGe, I am sorry, not fit for human consumption, that's my opinion, there is Chicken involved, I was always taught, the rule of thumb is a maximum of three days, your talking nine days, forget about the rice and other stuff!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
