Spaghetti sauce too tangy?!

Question: Spaghetti sauce too tangy!?
This may seem odd, but I find most purchased tomato based pasta sauces too tangy for my taste (through all price ranges)!. I usually add olive oil to dull the sourness down a bit and I prefer the flavor!. Is there anything else I can add to make a sauce milder while still keeping a good flavor!?

Thanks! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree!. I buy premade and then add a container of ricotta or cottage cheese and a hefty scoop of honey or sugar!. It's a very healthful and filling sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like acidity is the prob, water will not do it any good of course, you may consider some lemongrass though that may not be enough, sugar can help, if that does not do it try some sorghum syrup or molasses!. Not to much of course- I use this stuff in chili-spag sce + all kinds,Www@FoodAQ@Com

sugar, carrots, sauteed sweet onions, or some sweet red peppers could be added to make the sauce less tangy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sugar helps cut the acidity of the sauce!. Not too much, just enough to mellow it out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

add a bit of sugar!. i always put sugar in my homemade tomato sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Honey or brown sugar!. I also add a 1/4 cup of a nice fruity red wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Add a pinch of sugar to smooth it out!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

add sugar or carrotsWww@FoodAQ@Com

My favorite thing to do is add brown sugar to them!. I also add onions, ground beef, diced tomatoes!!!! YUM-O!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
