Question about home made cookies?!
I got a recipe off the internet for homemade cookies and it calls for one cup of butter at room tempature doe that mean melted butter or regular butter unmeltedWww@FoodAQ@Com

Regular butter unmelted, if it called for melted buttered it would say so!
If it is frozen or whatever, just pop it in the microwave for a few seconds until it becomes soft!.I generally do it until there is a small hole in the top of the butter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are referring to real butter that has been taken out of the refrigerator and allowed to come to your room's temperature or to become soft!. Do not melt the butter it will change the texture of your cookie!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
don't melt the butter!. If you melt it, while baking they won't rise, and they will look like frisbee's!. Leave the butter out for a couple of hours, longer if frozen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
