If you asking if a tamale is served hot (as in temperature wise), then yes!. If you are referring to "spicy" hot, then no!. They can be mild or spicy, depending on the preference of who makes them!.

They are one of my favorite Mexican foods, and fun to make if you have a lot of time!.

If you've never eaten a tamale you're missing out!. It's a traditional mexican dish with shredded meat inside a cornmeal rolled shell!. The expression hot tamale came from the fact that hot peppers are often used in mexican cusine!. It refers usually to a good looking woman!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

corn mesa is the out side of the tamale, inside there is usually a meat of some type!. it is rolled in to a corn husk and steamed!.!. The mesa becomes firm yet still soft!.!. they are really good when made right!.!. they can be made mild/hot/really hot, its all taste there, and they are served hot!.

No I don't think they are usually hot!. Thay can be and it really is just going to depend on who makes them!.!.!.!.kind of like Chili!.
