Help! Milk substitution!?!


Question: Help! Milk substitution!!?
Can i substitute whole milk with a low fat milk!? Will it make any different!? Because, currently i dont have any whole milk and i really want to make this dessert!. So, can i use low fat milk!? Er, this milk!.!.

It depends on what you are making!. The only difference between those two milks is fat content!. So if you only need a small amount of milk (1 cup or less) it shouldn't make much of a difference!. But if the main ingerdient is milk, then there may be a difference in cooking time and texture of the finished product!. Maybe you can up the butter/oil quantity slightly to make up the difference!. What is the recipe!? If its a small portion of a recipe, there shouldn't be much difference!. If its pudding and calls for a lot of milk; it would make a difference!.

In most recipes, usually make it richer tasting by adding more powdered non fat milk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
