Question: Need help cooking pot roast in the crock pot!. !?
I am making a pot roast tomorrow!. And when I look for recipes online, it says to brown the pot roast in a skillet!. Do i have to cook the whole thing in the skillet or just the edges and the rest will cook in the crock pot!? Please let me know!!!! Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Just brown the edges, it holds in the flavor better!. You can also just throw it in the pot !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

chilly_w hi, give the roast a good browning at hi heat, using your pan with a little oil and a dollop of butter, the browning seals in the juices and enhances the flavor of the roast!. Really, you don't need a university degree to brown a roast, anyone can throw a lump of meat in a crock pot, but not everyone thinks about flavor!.
