How to cook bacon in oven without starting a grease fire?!

Question: How to cook bacon in oven without starting a grease fire!?
I use a deep pan but even then it still spatters the grease all over the oven!. Is there any way to prevent this because I love the way the bacon comes out when it's baked in the oven but I'm afraid to do it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
If you have old bread in the house, this works really well!.!.!.!. turn your oven on to 350/400 degrees on bake

take a sheet of tin foil (if you want easy cleanup) and cover the pan, if you have a raised rack that fits the pan great, if not no worries!.

If you have old but not moldy bread, crumble it up and lay it in the bottom of the pan, put the bacon on the top of the bread!. you can use any kind of bread except raisin or a sugary bread

the bacon comes out crispy the, bread soaks up the grease amazingly well and if you have a ton of bread it makes great toppers for a good roasted tomato soup or any other soup type meal (unless of course your bread is swimming in grease)

snowbunn, you have touched on something I been doing for a long time!. I have found those foil trays the top one has holes in it and the bacon drippings fall into the bottom tray!. I use the grille/broiler, but I lower my rack!. I haven't had a problem!. As a side note you can wash and reuse those foil trays, I reuse them three times before i discard them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bake it at 350 F!. Use a sheet pan lined with parchement paper!. Lay in a single layer without overlapping!. It will take about 12 to 15 min!. When its crispy, take it out of the oven, pull the bacon off with tongs and lay on paper towels!. The parchement paper makes clean up a snap!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use the oven for bacon all the time and that's how we used to do it at the resturant that way!. Never a problem with grease fires, or grease all over the oven!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I let my husband do it!.!.!.he seems to have a technique, messes up my oven!. !.but it works - isn't that right C!.M!. C!., plus I enjoy sunday morning breakfasts that I don't have to make!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This will sound weird but if you will flour your bacon lightly and I mean a light layer only your bacon will be crispy and have no splatter!. You will not even know the flour was there when it is cooked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It does make a mess, I agree!. Try putting parchment paper over the slices!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why not read a cookbook!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
