Answers:
Onion Salt, Onion Flakes, Shallots, Chives, Scallions, Leeks, (the last 4 are all in the onion family) and will give you that much need flavor for your Pot Roast!. If you have any complex seasonings, you could also use that because most of them have dried onion in them, but they may be in smaller doses!. Honestly, I know how important the onion is, but if you don't have it, I'm sure that the Pot Roast still will taste wonderful with all of the other ingredients that you have in it! Happy Cooking to you and don't worry, we've all done this before and our families didn't go hungry that night! Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like using leeks or elephant garlic (leek family), but if you don't have onions, I guess you don't have leeks either!.

Add a little extra garlic powder I guess!. You need something to add a little depth to the dish, since carrots, celery, potatoes, etc!.!. have very subtle flavors compared to onions and garlic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

pot roast and red wine are a match made in heaven!. Dried basil, thyme, bay leaves all would add more flavor!. The one thing I always have in my kitchen that would give meat a boost is Lee and Perrins Worchester Sauce!. This would give an added kick!. some things to always have in your pantry are dry onion soup, canned soups, cream of!.!.!.!.mushroom, celery, chicken, broccoli, tomato!. Large cans of chicken and beef broth!., and mixed any kind of frozen vegetables!. Great start to making any meat a meal!. Good Luck

I like to use liptons onion soup mix, it works awesome, none of the seasonings you listed would taste well in pot roast, when I make my roast all I use is a can of cream of mushroom soup and a package of onion soup mix, it is the best tasting roast and I always get compliments on itWww@FoodAQ@Com
