Answers:
Don't wash off the seeds, just pull the pumpkin "guts" off them and salt and roast!. The pumpkin juice on them will give a nice brown crispy coating which is yummy!. I make my jack o lantern out of the shell, so that is a way you could utilize the remaining pumpkin!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can scoop the seeds out of a fresh pumpkin; and wash them off!. Then layer them on a baking sheet!. Drizzle with some olive oil; sprinkle with seasoned salt, or garlic salt (or whatever you like) and slow-bake at 300 for about 2 hours !.!.!.!.!. You can cut the inside of the pumpkin into cubes and boil or steam it; then make pumpkin pie, bread, or whatever else!. You can also cut the shell (and inside) into big hunks and put it cut-side down in a pan with about 1/2" water and bake it at 375 for about 40 min; drizzle with butter & brown sugar and eat it!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

roasted pumpkin seeds are great! You can use the leftover pumpkin to either carve into a jack 'o lantern, or use it to make homemade pumpkin pie!. Take the seeds out of the pumpkin (some people rinse the seeds, but I don't because I think the little bits of pumpkin that stick to the seeds only make them taste better!) and spread them in a layer on a cookie sheet!. Salt the crap outta them, (there goes the healthy part of your snack!) or I guess you could use Mrs!. Dash or something more healthy, and roast in the oven on 400 for about 5-6 minutes!. You can use the pumpkin to make a pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin souffle, pumpkin soup, Pumpkin quesadillas-thereare tons of pumpkin recipes on the web!.

I think they tast better fresh but I still love the kind you buy in the store!.

Store bought pumpkin seeds are heavily salted! Unless you get them raw or toasted from a co-op!.

Cooking them with too much oil or salt counteracts any health benefits!.

Wash them, and toast in oven on low heat on a non-stick pan or with a little low-fat cooking spray!. Salt lightly!.

They are really high in fiber so don't over do it either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Toast them gently in a heavy frying pan!.

My son the chef uses toasted pumpkin seeds to "encrust" tuna steaks and then drizzles a very light sauce over the tuna made of avocado, fresh tropical fruit, and white wine pureed together in a blender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Clean all the pumpkin guts off them, oil them lightly, salt them and roast them!.

Use the pumpkin for soup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
