Gramma’s Oatmeal Cookies

2 cups oats Makes about 3 dozen
1 cup raisins**
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
? cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup milk
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
? tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon

In medium mixing bowl, combine oats, oil and raisins!. Let sit for at least ? hour-but the longer the better!.

In separate bowl, cream eggs and sugars together!. Add oat mixture!. Combine remaining dry ingredients with wet!. Add milk a tablespoon at a time until mixture is stiff but not dry!. (Sometimes you use it all, sometimes, not much!.)

Spoon rounded tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet!.
Bake @ 375 12-15 mins!. Leave on cookie sheet for a minute or two, then remove to cool!.

**Raisins may be substituted with chocolate chips!. Nuts can be added as well!.

Craisin’s and white chocolate chips together are excellent!. I use about ? cup each!.

TIP: If softer cookies are desired, bake until edges are set and lightly brown!.
