Substitute for Jack cheese?!

Question: Substitute for Jack cheese!?
I have a recipe that calls for Jack cheese -- but I am in Germany, and they don't have Jack cheese: any suggestions for an alternative!?
Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com
