Brownie Recipe? ?!

Question: Brownie Recipe!? !?
Ingredients

4oz (100g) butter, plus extra for greasing the tin
1?oz (40g) cocoa powder
2 large eggs
8oz (225g) caster (confectioner's) sugar
1tsp (5ml) vanilla essence1
2oz self-raising flour, sifted
4oz (100g) chopped walnuts (pecans are also nice)

That is the recipe i am using to make brownies however i dont want to include nuts or raisins so would i need to increase anything else to make up for those!? also my brownies always tend to turn out either to soft or to hard, and usually the 4 corners always go much harder than the centre, im only cooking on gas mark 4 so whys this happening!?

Raisins and nuts are always optional, simply leave them out!.

As to doneness, use the old toothpick trick, when nothing sticks or very little does, take them out and remember they will continue to cook after you take them out so it doesn't hurt to go just a wee bit early!. And pay no attention to how long your recipe calls for baking!!! Ovens vary way too much, simply keep an eye on your brownies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can exclude the raisins or nuts - they are optional!. But if you do want to add something to them, you could add chocolate chips! For the corners of the pan, just put some extra butter, or use grease - proof paper!. You MUST preheat you oven so it is the correct temperature and cook properly!. Here is a 5- star brownie recipe that always works for me!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't need to change any of the other ingredients if you don't use the nuts or the raisins!. Make sure you don't over mix the batter that can make them too hard!. also, overcooking them can make them hard!. To soft means you under cooked them!. Unlike with cakes, you shouldn't use the dry tooth pick to test if your brownies are cooked!. also, make sure you cool them away from your oven!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

nuts and raisins are optional! You can take them out!. You do not have to replace with any thing else!

I just made the brownies out of the box yesterday and they came out real good!. I used 2 boxes (doubled the recipe) and used a 13x9 pan and it came out fuller and thicker!. When make only 1 box, it is skinny! I added chocolate chips to mine! I sprayed PAM all over the pan and it came out good!. I cooked for 38 minutes!. that is what box said but when tested with toothpick still came out wet so I let stay another 5 minutes and then turned off oven but kept it in oven another 10 minutes! Oven still hot but not burning it! Everyone loved them! They were soft in middle! YUMMY!!

you dont need to add anything else!.!.!. also try cooking it at a lower tempurature !.!.!. if its not a convection bake oven then it wont be cooking evenly !.!. so lower the temp!. and cook it for longer so it cooks more evenly in the centre as it does in the corner!. If its soft when the brownie batter is hot !. thats normal !.!. you need to let it cool first so it hardens !.!. other wise keep it in for longer!.!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

After trying numerous brownie recipes from scratch (nothing tastes better than from scratch!), this one is the only one I use now: http://allrecipes!.com/Recipe/Best-Browni!.!.!.

They're fool-proof, easy and turn out great every time!! The frosting's really good, too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, just omit the nuts or raisins!. Spread batter a little thicker into corners, thinner in center!. It will bake up evenly this way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

lower the temperature of the oven and let it cook a little longer but you dont need to change the recipe at allWww@FoodAQ@Com

I was going to bake some brownies but they kept shouting for their mums and I couldn't get them all in the oven at once!. So I ate them raw!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

put no rasons or any nuts just kleave them outWww@FoodAQ@Com

are you preheating the oven!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could try this one for brownies - it is soooooo good - they are always very moist and have never had a problem with them being to hard or the corners getting harder than the rest!.!. and just leave out the nuts!.!. no need to a increase anything else
