Question: Cakes, biscuit for my boys!.!.!.!?
I'm looking for a nice easy cake or biscuit receipt to make with my boys!. I have plain flour, self raising flour and cake mix a few choc drops!. Please any help would be great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here are some ideas:

Plain Biscuits Recipe

* 2 cups flour
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 2 tablespoons shortening
* 2/3 cup milk
* 4 teaspoons baking powder
Instructions

1!. Sift all dry ingredients together!. Mix with the shortening!.
2!. Add the milk and knead lightly on floured pastry board until smooth!.
3!. Roll out thin!.
4!. Cut into desired shape or size!.
5!. Place in baking pan and bake 15 minutes at 375 degrees!.

LOAF CAKE

2/3 c!. butter
1 c!. sugar
1 tsp!. flavouring extract
2 eggs, beaten
1 2/3 c!. flour
1/2 tsp!. salt
2 tsp!. baking powder
1/2 c!. milk

Cream butter, sugar, and flavouring together until light; beat the eggs and add to mixture!. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together; add alternately with the milk!. Beat 1/2 minute or about 30 strokes!. Bake in an oiled and floured loaf-cake pan 40 minutes at 350-375 degrees!.

CHOCOLATE BITS CAKE: Use the recipe for plain loaf cake, adding 2/3 cup semi- sweet chocolate bits to the flour!.

SPICE CAKE: Use plain loaf cake sifting with the flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon cloves, and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg!.

CHOCOLATE CAKE: Make plain loaf cake, adding 1 1/2 squares (1 1/2 ounces) melted unsweetened chocolate to the butter before creaming!.


Easy Cake:
# 4 eggs
# 3/4 cup white sugar
# 1 cup butter, melted
# 3 cups self-rising flour
# 1 cup raisins (optional)
# 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
# 3 apples - peeled, cored and diced (optional)

1!. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan!.
2!. Add sugar into melted butter, stir until sugar is melted and blended with butter!. Beat in eggs!. Stir in self-rising flour bit by bit until mixture is well blended!. Stir in one of the optional ingredients, if desired, according to your own taste to add special flavor to your cake!.
