I'd like to make a meat AND a vegetarian casserole, without buying lots of separate ingredients.?!

Question: I'd like to make a meat AND a vegetarian casserole, without buying lots of separate ingredients!.!?
I'm a vegetarian but the rest of the family eat meat - lots of it! I'd like to make a casserole, but I'd also like to try it as well! What's the best way of doing this!?
And I'd like a recipe with lots of vegetables in it (I'd like to get as many of my '5 a day' as is possible!!!)

Thanks guys!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
make up your casserole base such as stock wine veggies herbs etc before you brown the meat and add it!.that way you can take some of the base and put it asside for yourself and then add the meat to the rest and cook them sepratly!.they will taste slightly diffrent tho as you wont have the juices from the meat cooking into yours obviously!Www@FoodAQ@Com

What about making ratatouille, that has lots of veg, aubergine, courgettes, peppers, onion, tomatoes and oregano and garlic!.It's a lovely autumn dish, and that can be served with a separate joint of meat/chicken/pork chops etc with a potato bake, or jacket potatoes, and a salad!.

Or what about a stew of different squashes, that can be a veggie meal with green veg, and meat eaters have their roast meat!.

Have a look a www!.goodfood!.co!.uk its great for any kind of cookery!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make a veggie one with carrots, potatoes, sweet potato, celery, swede, lentils, peas, leeks, onion, tomatoes etc and then cook some meat in a different pan!. When the veggie casserole is cooked take out the portion for the vegetarians then add the meat and some meat stock to the casserole for the meateaters!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Consider making two types of lasagna, one meat and one veggie!. The only difference will be the meat in the regular one!. Very easy to make and not too expensive either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
