Hi fantasiz, it's me again!. I know it's hard with little ones, let me see if we can keep it all simple for you!. Your not hopeless your going to be a genius!.

Starter!.
Shrimp cocktail by using 6 to 8 good sized large cooked shrimp, peeled, devained and tails left on!.

Cocktail sauce!. mayonaise, Tobasco, ketchup juice of half a lemon (not even half a lemon)
In a small mixing bowl!. 1 table spoon of Mayo!.
four drops or so of Tabasco
squeeze of lemon juice
good squeeze of ketchup (about two to three table spoons) mix well taste and adjust the taste to suit you, maybe more Tabasco or if to much add some more mayo!.

Serving!. glass something long stem maybe some finally sliced lettuce in the bottom, then the shrimp spoon on some of that cocktail sauce you made!. You have half a lemon left, cut that in half slit the skin and place it on the lip of the glass, just a little touch of you being a clever dick

For a main, hmmmmmm so you like garlic!.
Four to six good size Italian pork sausage
One onion finally sliced medium to large is okay
sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup, full cup, one and a half cups whatever you feel!.
two cloves of crushed garlic
cup and a half of chicken stock adding 1/2 tea spoon of corn starch
1/2 glass of red wine you were going to serve him (if it's god enough to drink it's god enough to cook with)!.

Meth!.
In a large skillet that you can also use in an oven, add table spoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (if you have it) heat and add your sausages brown them well!. Let them get that good browning color, once this is done remove throw in your onions sweat and start your caramalizing, add your mushrooms and garlic, give them about 5 minutes also remove, now your left with all those goodies on the bottom!. Pour in your wine to deglaze, scrapping the bottom for the flavors!. 3 to 4 minutes is enough add your chicken stock mix that in!. When it starts to bubble, add your sausages back in, your onions, mushrooms and garlic!. in the oven 325 for 20 minutes should be more than enough time, check on it in the process, if the sauce/gravy starts to get too thick for your liking add more stock!.

Mashed potato you know how to do that, nice and fluffy, no add a twist, steam two to three cloves of garlic and soften ( I did say steam not boil) soften with your potatoes, whip (using an electric beater) the now softened garlic together with milk, butter and salt and pepper to taste!. Serve your sausages on the bed of potato, and pour the gravy/sauce on top!. with onions and mushrooms!.

Sorry for the typos, have my wife on the other line!. Fanta this may look difficult, but really look at it, it is so simple, and he will think your just fantastic in that apron that you forgot to take off!.

start of with soup - tomato or crème of mushroom, anything that is almost ready made with some prawn or fish crackers, for the main course find ready made cutlets from the frozen food section; fish cutlets would be nice, put some French fries or boiled vegetable on the side, and that’s it!.
Hope it works out for you!.

Whenever I think of romantic dinners I think of that one scene from Lady and the Tramp!.
You can't go wrong with spaghetti!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nice steaks, mashed potatoes (garlic if you want), and some sort of fruit!. Wine, of course!.

And you can't forget the candles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Take some fresh salad leaves & twist them into a ball in the middle of a plate!.!.top with a fillet of peppered smoked mackeral (or another smoked fish fillet) the fish can be broken into 2/3 bits & stacked on top with a small spoon of horseradish or mayo!.!.!.!.looks nice!.!.!.cheap ;)
or!.!.!.take your smoked fish!.!.& just cover with some cream & grated mature cheddar cheese & bake in the oven gently whilst you are busy!.
To make this really special just serve with some warm bread rolls youve banged in the oven 5 minutes before ;)
ok,an easy main course !.!.!.take some chicken breast in an oven dish & add mushrooms a dash of white wine, cream & seasoning!.!.
Have your mash cooked & keep warm in the oven & this chicken dish will just sit & gather more flavour whilst it waits for you!.
just spoon the chicken on top of the mash & perhaps have a side dish of a vegetable he does like ;)
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
