Question: What breakfast can I cook for 4 people in abt half an hour!?
Hi Everyone,
My idiotic husband has gone and invited 4 of his friends for breakfast tom morning without informing me!.I need to be at work early tom and the max I can spare for this is abt half an hour!.What can i cook in such a less time considering that I cant feed them cereal or plain toast(Apparently the poor guys are starving for home cooked food)!.also we are eggetarians(We eat egg bt not meat :))!.!.Can someone gimme some ideas please!.!.!.also its late here in India and i cannot go grocery shopping for fancy ingredients so it has to be something simple!.!.!.Pleaseee help!! You can boil some eggs the night before, and give them cereal!. Just say to them, "Hey, I wasn't prepared to have you people dumped on me at the last minute"!

Make a batch of pancakes tonight - freeze them!. Tomorrow morning put them into a warm oven, fry up a mess of scrambled eggs (5 minutes), nuke some bacon and sausages while the eggs are cooking!. The coffee can be going at the same time and they can pour their own juice!. Then you can rest for 15 minutes!.

10 eggs, whisked
1 cup milk or cream
Mushrooms, onions, green pepper, cheese

Slice/dice mushrooms, onions, green pepper and sautee in some oil!. You can sautee it tonight and put in a bowl until tomorrow!.

Whisk eggs and add milk or cream to the whisk!. Add in the veggies and mix in some shredded cheese!. Pour into an oiled baking dish (glass) and bake for 25 mins on 350 or until the eggs are done!. Let sit 5 mins before serving!.
Serve with toast!.
And diced potatoes, fried, if you have potatoes!.

You can't go wrong with an omelette!. Just need some butter, eggs, cheese & any veggies you feel like messing with - onion, tomatoe, mushroom, green pepper!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

You could also make up some toast, butter it while it's still warm & sprinkle some cinnamon & sugar on it!. It's good just like that or you could top with maple syrup & powdered sugar, strawberries, apples, grape jelly!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd say some scrambled eggs with lots of cheese (mozzarella works really well), and veggies like bell peppers, tomatoes, and some garlic!. Then just mix in herbs of your choice!. You could wrap the scrambled eggs up in a tortilla if you have them in India and you'd have a breakfast burrito!. Good luck :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

saute any vegetable you like in about 2 tbs oil I would use onion, zucchini, mushrooms, eggplant, potato what ever you like!. when tender add 12 beaten eggs and scramble!.
top with cheese and diced tomato if you like or olives!.

Spinach Quiche or vegetable Quiche!. Look on allrecipes!.com they have tons of good egg casserole recipes and quiche and you can read reviews!.

Hippie hash:

To make the hippie hash, brown some frozen hash browns in a pan until golden!. Meanwhile, saute some onion, green pepper, mushrooms and tomatoes!. Put the veggies on top of the hash browns and top with some feta cheese!. Serve with hot sauce and eggs and toast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Overnight Mushroom Egg Casserole

5 tablespoons butter, divided
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 (4!.5 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
10 eggs
2/3 cup half-and-half cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

In a saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter!. Stir in flour until smooth; gradually add milk!. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened!. Stir in the mushrooms; set aside!.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs, cream, salt and pepper!. In a skillet, heat the remaining butter until hot!. Add egg mixture; cook and stir over medium heat until eggs are completely set!. Transfer to a greased 11-in!. x 7-in!. x 2-in!. baking dish; top with mushroom mixture!. Cover and refrigerate overnight!.
Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking!. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees F for 32-36 minutes or until heated through!.

Overnight French Toast

2 tablespoons corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 (1 pound) loaf French bread, sliced
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt

Combine the corn syrup , butter, and brown sugar in a small saucepan and simmer until the sugar has melted!. Pour this mixture over the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish!.
Place the bread slices over the sugar-butter mixture in the dish!. In a bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt; pour this mixture over the bread!. Cover the dish and let it stand in the refrigerator overnight!.
The next morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
Uncover the pan and bake for 45 minutes!. Serve while hot or warm or the French toast will harden in the pan!. It can be reheated!.
