my youth group is having a battle of the ages (here the parents compete against the teens) and we are having a bake off!. i need a dessert that is fairly easy to make, looks nice and tastes rally goo and can feed a lot of people! please post a recipe with a picture!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies


INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 cup butter, softened

1/4 cup white sugar

1/4 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 egg, beaten

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon milk

20 miniature chocolate covered peanut butter cups, unwrapped




DIRECTIONS:


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)!.


Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda; set aside!.


Cream together the butter, sugar, peanut butter and brown sugar until fluffy!.


Beat in the egg, vanilla and milk!.

Add the flour mixture; mix well!.


Shape into 20 balls and place each into an ungreased mini muffin pan!.


Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes!.

Remove from oven and immediately press a mini peanut butter cup into each ball!.

Cool and carefully remove from pan!.

Definatly a winner! (Serves 20)

cant got wrong with a Trifle!!

Chocolate Trifle

* 1 (19!.8 ounce) package brownie mix
* 1 (3!.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
* 1/2 cup water
* 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
* 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
* 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
* 1 (1!.5 ounce) bar chocolate candy

DIRECTIONS

1!. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and cool completely!. Cut into 1 inch squares!.
2!. In a large bowl, combine pudding mix, water and sweetened condensed milk!. Mix until smooth, then fold in 8 ounces whipped topping until no streaks remain!.
3!. In a trifle bowl or glass serving dish, place half of the brownies, half of the pudding mixture and half of the 12 ounce container of whipped topping!. Repeat layers!. Shave chocolate onto top layer for garnish!. Refrigerate 8 hours before serving!.

Chocolate Caramel Brownies --



INGREDIENTS
1 (18!.25 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup Evaporated Milk, divided
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
35 caramels, unwrapped
2 cups Milk Chocolate Morsels



DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F!.
Combine cake mix and nuts in large bowl!. Stir in 2/3 cup evaporated milk and butter (batter will be thick)!. Spread half of batter into ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan!.
Bake for 15 minutes!.
Heat caramels and remaining evaporated milk in small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until caramels are melted!. Sprinkle morsels over brownie; drizzle with caramel mixture!.
Drop remaining batter by heaping teaspoon over caramel mixture!.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until center is set!. Cool in pan on wire rack!. Cut into 24 squares!.

Too Much Chocolate Cake --

"This cake won me First Prize at the county fair last year!. It is very chocolaty!."




INGREDIENTS
1 (18!.25 ounce) package devil's food cake mix
1 (5!.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1/2 cup warm water
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips



DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
In a large bowl, mix together the cake and pudding mixes, sour cream, oil, beaten eggs and water!. Stir in the chocolate chips and pour batter into a well greased 12 cup bundt pan!.
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until top is springy to the touch and a wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean!. Cool cake thoroughly in pan at least an hour and a half before inverting onto a plate If desired, dust the cake with powdered sugar!.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze --

"A glossy chocolate glaze to drizzle over a Bundt cake!. It's also great on cookies and doughnuts!."




INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract



DIRECTIONS
In a double boiler over hot, but not boiling water, combine chocolate chips, butter and corn syrup!. Stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth, then add vanilla!.
Spread warm glaze over top of cake, letting it drizzle down the sides

HillBilly Cake

1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup melted butter
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 can (20 ounces) undrained crushed pineapple
(The pineapple can be sweetened or unsweetened)
1 cup light brown sugar (For Cake Topping)
1 cup chopped walnuts (For Cake Topping)

Mix ingredients together and pour into a greased (and floured) 9 x 13 baking pan!. Top with the light brown sugar and the chopped walnuts!. Bake at 350 F!. for 40 minutes!.
