Answers:
I'd use Anaheims!. They are the long, skinny, lighter green chiles found in supermarkets!. Sometimes, they are called California green chiles!. They are only slightly milder than poblanos!. If you can't find them fresh, your store will likely have them in the canned version!. Canned would be acceptable to use in tamales!. The flavor will be slightly different, but less work will be required in preparing them!.

Likewise, I don't see why you couldn't use canned corn instead of frozen!. Check the sodium levels in the canned corn, and adjust the rest of the salt content in your recipe accordingly!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

A poblano pepper is a nice, mild pepper!. I would not sub a jalapeno, serrano, or other "hot" pepper unless you just love hot food!. Consider subbing a green bell pepper or a banana pepper!.

Yes, you can use canned corn!. Drain well and skip any steaming or boiling it tells you to do (b/c frozen corn is raw, canned is already cooked)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

An Anaheim or an Ancho pepper would be your best best!. You could "kick it up a notch" by adding a jalapeno pepper!. also, canned corn will work just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ortega chilli's make a nice replacement and yes you can use canned!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can use canned corn!. No poblano peppers, buy cans of green chile's, they are garet!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Anaheim-cubanelle-or even green bell
